A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.

Behind the lens
I am a part time photographer living in Franschhoek, South Africa. I work primarily as a landscape photographer exploring the mountains, farms and reserves around Franschhoek, and I also do group/individual photography for families and events like Matric dances and family shoots.
Rather than just take the typical picturesque photo, I seek to share a view of my world that captures, in the click of a shutter, something unique and beautiful.
I believe that creating is important. Whether a photograph, a drawing, or piece of writing, I believe that we all have an innate ability and drive to create, and that it is in the act of creating that we find fulfillment and, in some small way, begin to make sense of life. Creating gives us a chance to share the way we feel, and how we make interpret the world. It is risky and rewarding all at the same time.
